Undergraduate research experiences have been shown to improve student engagement (Kuh 2008) and result in large range of benefits alasdair mclellan for students (Hunter et al 2007). This Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) funded project is developing a national community of practice to increase the availability of research experiences to large cohorts of undergraduate science students, and to investigate and disseminate the learning gains that students achieve when communicating the findings of their research using a diverse range of communication forms to a range of audiences. More information about the ALURE project.
The ALURE project team will be leading at workshop at ACSME during the Ideas Exchange at 11:45am – 12:45pm on Saturday 21 September 2013 in COS-S1 Science Teaching Building – “Large Scale UREs: You can do it and we can help you!”
On 30-31 October 2013, the ALURE project team will be hosting a national symposia focussed on the learning gains students achieve alasdair mclellan during communication of their research findings. More information and symposia registration.
