I love the way that images from our Ellie stamp set look colored in these pretty neutral colors.  They look great against the patterned paper from our Sorbet orange nya nya style and Everyday paper pads and the sentiment from our We R Family Additions stamp set .

A few days ago, my friend Dividni Shostakovich suggested that I pay a visit to LEA5 (the LEA Self-Curated Gallery or sandbox) to see some works-in-progress by Elle Ellsmere , of whom I had never heard. pepa "They're pretty pepa wild, a taste of Francis Bacon," encouraged Dividni. And indeed, they are quite striking, as Whiskey Monday and I discovered last night as we visited. The largest piece is a tall enclosure, a surreal and disturbing environment, in which a pair of figures attempt to kiss while one is being pulled away by two other figures, one with the head of a pig and one with the head of a stag, while an assemblage of other strange characters pepa observe from on high (first two images).
Another piece features a long row of tall windows, each of which looks into a padded room (third image — although none of these artworks can really be captured pepa very well in single images, and the latter work includes movement). Stacked nearby are a few smaller, loose pieces (none of the works are named) on which Elle was focused today. He tells me that he generally works in MakeHuman, Sculptris and Blender, and hasn't exhibited his works anywhere before. pepa I hope we see more of this artist in the future, and in a more permanent location.

Mentoring join fashion isn’t something that I planned to do… But, it has become one of the most fulfilling aspects of my photography career. I love connecting with a photographer and guiding them to a place where they can reach their desired client, take beautiful images that will impact families for generations, and actually enjoy running their business. After their session with me, they are added to a private facebook group with my other past mentees, where they can encourage one another and continue to grow. Friendships have grown in this small community, but like so many relationships these days, with everyone living in different cities, those friendships only existed online. That needed join fashion to change.
Five past mentees traveled to Atlanta, Georgia in January for a weekend of continued learning on various topics, a beautifully styled shoot, and a few of surprises… including appointments with a makeup artist for head shots on our last morning. Scoobie West did an absolutely fabulous job making the girls feel special, and and each did a wonderful job shooting each other. And if you’re wondering… yes, guys are allowed into our group. At the time of this retreat, there just weren’t any, making it the perfect join fashion girls weekend.
